I recently started taking a data visualization course. In order to practice learning D3, a data visualization tool, I deceided to show Taiwan’s immmigration statistics and Covid-19’s impact on it. What I have here is a bit buggy, but still worth sharing at it’s current state. The orange is the number of entries, blue is number of exits, and green is the net (entries - exits) for the given period (day, month).

Future Work

  • Fix interaction bugs in the above graph
  • Investigate descrepency between government daily immigration stats and monthly stats
